Our Visit to Maryland
During our visit to Maryland, we went to eat dinner with Cathy & Doug M. (Lizzie's God parents)

Cathy & Lizzie

Daniel (Cathy's son) in his outfit from Peter.
During our marathon of job interviews, and apartment shopping Bill, Meredith, Sarah, & Michael J. were kind enough to let us stay with them. We had a fabulous & sucessful trip-- I was offered a job with a hospital in Maryland, and Peter has a potential part time position with a local church playing the organ, with his fulltime position taking care of Lizzie and doing laundry-- I am quite glad to be off of the hook with that.

Sesame Street seems to be Sarahs absolute favorite show!

Sarah & Lizzie got together for a quick snapshot.
Peter's work on St. Peter's

This is the chapel that Lizzie was baptized at. It is also part of the parish that Peter worked at this last year. Peter recruited people who attend this summer chapel to do some necessary repairs. Also, he arranged for a considerable amount of sod to be donated as well as 19 hydrangea to perk up the exterior.

Lizzie's Baptism

Lizzie was baptized last weekend, and some of both of Peter and I both had family members come up for the event.

A good friend of Peter's stepmother threw a party for Susan (B-Day) and Lizzie (Christening) It was a great party, and a very nice day for all of the events sunshine and temperate.

My mother made the christening gown from material left over from my wedding dress.
This is my mother and Lizzie's godmother (krstna in slovak) Cathy Morgan (Peter's Cousin) helping me get Lizzie ready for the event- I am behind the camera of course....

Here is proud Ma-maw and little Lizzie.

Lizzie had a little difficulty waiting until afterwards to eat, so we had a little snack through the beginning of the service...

Here is Lizzie with her godparents Doug and Cathy Morgan (Krstny and Krstna respectively in Slovak)

Elliot got tired of the festivities and decided to curl up for a little rest and relaxation....
BTW There were pictures taken of Peter, Lizzie and I at the church- but none on our camera, so if any of you took one please pass it along...

Trip to State College

Well here are a few pics of Lizzie in our hotel room from this afternoon -- so a/b 7 wks here. Our trip was very very hectic, but I think very productive- I had several interviews with Penn State faculty members, and we found a great apartment complex.
P.S. I tried to get a picture that would show her hair a little better, and did not do to well with that...

This is our setup for watching Baby Einstein-- her attention span is not that long yet, but she is interested in it, but fades in and out... Aunt Kimmy- the racing pictures are coming- I have been behind on laundry so it is just now clean to take pics in- though I think it will be to big for awhile!

2 weeks

Hello,
Thought I would finally get around to posting some more pictures of Lizzie.. some are from 2 weeks, but the ones of her on the mat and the swing are from this week (wk 3).
She still has her clock a little messed up and so we are all living by the mantra "early to bed early to rise." Though I must say I never quite thought of this saying in quite such an extreme manner as I do now (i.e. we now go to bed somewhere between 8 and 9, and wake up -- for the day somewhere between 3:30 and 5 am!) and I (Robin) am now getting about a whole 4 1/2 hours of sleep within that time frame! -- I cannot wait until she sleeps through the night ( which is probably needlessly stated :)).
Let's see Lizzie is learning what she/we think are some pretty exciting things- she is beginning to talk with the lady bug on her mat, and of course the butterflies on her swing. Also, bathtime is incredibly relaxing and fun for her to splash around in- I think we will try to get that one on video soon, a photo does not really capture her enjoyment with baths very well.
